Traditional skin care lines have primarily used ingredients that create inflammation when addressing these common skin care problems (ingredients such as artificial colors and fragrances, artificial preservatives, sodium lauryl sulfate, benzoyl peroxide and glycolic acid). Cosmedix took a step further by not only removing the irritants, but making the majority of our active ingredients less irritating as well. This is done by a process called chiral correction.
We offer corrective peels categorized as "Today's Peels" and "Tomorrow Peels".
Today's Peels use natural Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) and Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA) to freshen and exfoliate the skin by removing dead cells in order to produce new cell growth. These peels can be used without any prior preparation of the skin.
Tomorrow's Peels are designed to correct the damage done yesterday, are stronger treatments that go deeper and make the skin look tighter and smoother. The skin needs 10 to 30 days in advance preparation prior to application.
